Hi all,

I have noticed that my fiestas indicators do not flash when locking the car. The manual says that they should do on single and double locking. My indicators flash twice when double locking, but when i hit the button on the door handle or the key just once, the mirrors fold in and nothing flashes. All doors are locked and closed properly. Speaking from a 2015 Fiesta 1.0l Ecoboost

 

If anyone has any idea, please let me know!

Different countries have different specifications when it comes to things like locking.

It is quite possible that the indicators only flash when the doors are double locked (dead-locked) for your countries specification.

I can confirm that my UK 2005 Focus, only flashes the indicators when being double locked. On a simple single lock, they can't be *rsed...

Mine is a 2012 titanium and the it only flashes on double lock.

My 2014 Titanium X flashes once on single lock, twice on double lock as have both of my previous Fiestas, mk 7 and 7a.  The only time when this has been different is if there is something not completely closed eg a door, boot or bonnet.

Seems strange that others' cars have been diffent,

That's exactly what I wanted my Focus to do, but on getting it, I researched everywhere to see if there was an option to activate that function - there wasn't. So, to get a visual confirmation that I've locked the car, I have always double locked it...

I have a 2010 zetec 1.6 tdci.  Mine used to flash once and twice but since yesterday is only flashing on double lock, noticed as well drives window doesn’t want to go down when taken off the auto open setting. Not sure if it’s all linked. Did do something with the fob ages ago and there was no flashing on locking in any mode. Engine start and off again seemed to reset it.
