My bonnet won’t close properly help

Featured Replies

Hey I’ve had this ford fiesta 2008 5dr for a few months and the bonnet hood never closes properly I have too give it a lot of hard pumps like CPR before it eventually shuts, I’ve tried undoing the 13mm bolts and raising the latch, I’ve tried adjusting the rubber stoppers under the hood, I’ve checked the cable and it is all fine, I’ve even took the bonnet off and put it back on car, now installed a new bonnet latch and still having the same issue can anyone help please be appreciated

Thankyou for your advice, I’ve tried this and still no luck

Has the car ever suffered front end damage ?

I had this and after fitting a new latch it still didn't work.

I took it to the body shop at the end of the road and the guy gave the front end a real good pull and then it worked ok.

he said the front end had been nudged under usual french parking procedure and just needed pulling back into position
