Coolant Leak 2015 Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost

Featured Replies

Hello, recently joined the Forums, I have a coolant leak from the turbo on a 2015 Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost, it is wet underneath the turbo but I think it may be leaking from the 2 metal pipes that come out of the front of the turbo, has anyone had this please ?

Just below the turbo is a plastic cooling water manifold which combines various return flows into the pump suction. There are two O rings associated with this manifold, one seals the plastic manifold into the engine and one seals a metal pipe into the manifold. These leaked on my car, on removal both O rings were hard with significant compression set. Parts of the manifold are visible with a torch but the seal locations are difficult to see even with the heat shield removed so diagnosis is tricky. The O ring part numbers are 5198199 and 5198200, cost £5.60 for both.
