Air con compressor clutch no engaging on ford

My grandson's fiesta 2004 air con is not getting cold have topped up gas still not getting cold on checking the compressor it seems the clutch in it is not engaging haven't checked fuse or relay yet is there anything else that can be checked.

Do that first before looking for other possible causes.

Is the car a 2004  or  1995 ?

Test, if you can, that the low pressure switch is working.
