2017 fiesta st line clutch issue

Featured Replies

Hi, my clutch biting point is almost on the carpet when started but in higher gears and at speed it’s fine. But when I’m coming to a stop the clutch goes low again and gets stuck in gear till I switch the engine off and then I can select a gear again. Any ideas what the problem may be?

I'd suspect a failing clutch slave cylinder, and/or clutch master cylinder. How many miles has the car done?

I'm having the exact same problem with my 2014 Fiesta. I was having this problem last summer. I took it into the Ford service center and they found nothing wrong. When the weather cooled down, the problem seemed to vanish. But now it's summer again and I'm getting stuck in gear, having to turn the engine off to get it running properly. Seems the heat exacerbates the issue!
