Wonky reversing camera on 2020 Fiesta

Hi all, some kind soul has pushed the reversing camera through and into the boot handle.

It is still working but it looks like you are viewing the scene through a cave.

Has anyone had this situation before and managed a repair?

Local Ford dealer quoting approx £126 to investigate, or £430 to replace the whole handle assembly.

    Looks like someone has been trying to prise the lens off.

    You can buy the Ford handle / camera assembly for £59.99 and fit it yourself, it takes less than 20 minutes.

    The camera should click forward back into place, you'll need to tidy the aperture up a bit though and you'll need to remove the handle to push the camera back in.

    If the retention lugs on the moulding have broken off, hot melt the camera in place, it'll be OK.

    You should see the state of some of the door mirrors I save sometimes, especially the Defender Bowler rally cars

    Cheers Dave, might try the hot melt method. Managed to get the trim off without too much hassle, the handle is a bit of a bugger though!
