Apple car play issue

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a 2018 fiesta st-line. Most of the time the Apple car play works perfectly fine however, on some occasions the car won’t recognise my phone to enable the car play. It would still charge my phone but won’t connect to the car play. I have noticed that this mostly happens when it is hot outside. Would like to know anyone else has had this issue and if there is an easy way to fix it. Thanks

Try a different cable, ideally a decent quality one.

I’ve tried 2 different Apple cables in both USB ports and it still doesn’t connect. I have a feeling a wire is loose somewhere as some days it works perfectly fine. I’ve also noticed that a speaker seems to work fine one day and then be completely distorted another day maybe due to the weak wire.

And restart your phone more often
