Fiesta St Line MK8 2018 UK - Break Pad Recommendations

Featured Replies

I’m on the search for some break pads for my Ford Fiesta St Line 2018 but struggling to find a decent variety online backed by reviews.

I don’t need anything fancy, but nothing too cheap, I’m selling the car in the next 2 months and pads were an advisory on my last MOT, so in need of adding new ones before selling.

I appreciate any recommendations of brands, and where to find them, so far Brembo has been the only one to show up.

Appreciate the help 👍

Matt

Pagid work great from GSF

Thanks @DaveT70, I did see some Pagid pads when searching before posting on here, I'll check out those - appreciate the help!

ATE: Good performance and silent pads but creates lots of dust, you will have brown rims every few days.
TRW: Overall good pads, just like ATE, minus the dust. Had backplate separation on some models with a metal back plate. If the pads for your model doesn't have metal backplates, go for it.
Delphi: Cheapest "known-brand" pads. Performance is good but they get loud as they get old. Also had backplate separation issues. Had to replace them when they were still at 50-60%.
Bosch: Just stay away. They've lowered their pad quality to sheeet in the last 6-7 years. They will become loud after just a few days of use, they grind the disc, backplate separation is guaranteed. Some shops remove the backplates while installing these pads. I've seen some Chinese no-name pads better than Bosch pads.
Meyle:  It's not what it was before. They basically stamp their logo on no-name Chinese sheeet these days. Low quality, terrible quality control. Stay away.
