Yeah I’ve updated my log file to the Ford website site still saying map update still available

Same here on my 2021 Puma - my maps were F10.  I think the file is so big that the car knows that WiFi just won't be able to do it - so the website is correct.

I've spent a few hours over the past week doing the USB version.  Make sure your USB/External hard drive is ExFat otherwise it will appear to work, but after a long wait in the car, it doesn't. 

I have just managed to complete the F13 maps update but the log file isn't accepted by Ford's website(!)  Ford Consumer relations said send it to them and they'll update it with the 'teccies'.....

Ford do not make this easy.  They also tell me that newer Fords are on Sync 4 and update 'over the air' -  something to look forward to.

mistake

I also updated maps earlier this month, uploaded log file to Ford and still getting " maps available".

If you are interested I also had the same problem updating Sync 3 earlier in the year, uploaded log file and still had "Sync 3 update available". Contacted Ford and pestered over the following months after about four months it finally cleared. Ford then sent me a £200 voucher.

On my last two Fiesta's I had same problem. I was wondering if it was something I was doing wrong. Glad to see other members suffer the same. No not glad but you know what I mean.

I got in touch with Ford they say they have technical issues with the server they said give two weeks if it’s not been updated then get back in touch with them

The teccies have updated the website, so for my car it now says 'Sync up to date' and 'maps up to date'. 

FCR have just 'phoned to confirm and have offerred me £75 into my bank account......  just in time for Christmas!

I’m waiting for the teccies to look at my log file since it won’t update on the website they said they will be back in touch on Monday with an outcome 

Main dealer updated SYNC and Maps for me today. Car was still saying no updates available for either. Maps went from F11 to F13. Hopefully it will be able to keep itself up to date now OTA.

According to the Ford site, there is an update for mycar. (I have automatic updates "on", btw.) Ran the "search for updates"routine in the car after which it says "software up to date" with today's date and time but no change to the version. (Maps F11).

Only looked out of interest as I never bother with nav anyway, but so far after 2 years it looks as if OTA updates is no more effective in the Mk 8.5 than in my previous Mk 8.

Just checked randomly and there is a 24.9 GB file (Map_2688xxxxxxx_Update.zip) which I am downloading (11.9GB downloaded so far) for SYNC 3.0. I have SYNC version 3.0.23219

 

Updated my sync3 version this weekend to 3.4 build 23188, and sent log file, but when I try and update maps I'm getting the dreaded 47KB file and nothing even remotely big enough to the 23GB that supposed to be there.
