Mileage

Featured Replies

Hi.

So my Ford Fiesta ST-Line 2019 is not displaying the mileage.

Upon getting in the car it will display the mileage but soon after driving it displays four x’s. Once you park up and turn the car off after 5 minutes or so, it then displays the mileage again.

Has anyone ever heard of this and is there any solutions?

Thanks

Do you know if the car has been clocked at some time?

My thought would be that the instrument cluster has been replaced with a used one and there is a mileage conflict between the car's own stored mileage and that of the cluster.

Use FORScan to read the true vehicle mileage from the BCM or PCM and compare it against the numbers shown of the instrument cluster before it changes to XXXXX

Thank you, I’ll take a look

I hope not.

Maybe that’s a possibility?

I have heard of funny things happening when modern cars are clocked.

As @unofix said, if you get set up with FORScan or another suitable tool you will see that the Mileage is stored in several  modules, they should all be the same as each other unless ones have been replaced.

It is normally stored in Km not Miles so don't be alarmed if it looks very high.
