The original trim levels were Ka1, Ka2 & Ka3.  They were not denoting Marks.

Here's one for Tom. Do you know that the only UK Ford to ever display the 'Mark' number on the name badge was the Capri MkII ?

And of course Tom already knew that bit of trivia 🤣

I didn't know that one, too early for me!  That is very interesting though.

the handling on that wee car was amazing, and could be thrown round a roundabout like my 1982 Fiesta XR2...

Lol, you had to! Preserving momentum was everything! It was a lot of fun to drive, when you weren't wire-brushing rust!😀

Capri MkII ?

Not wanting to turn it into a Capri thread, but I had an idea the "II" logo didn't last long into the fairly short run of the Mk 2? Here it is again, though, on a P plate JPS, though you never know if it's original or a touch by the restorer.

The "II" decal was used through to the end of R reg. It was never used on S reg models.

Do you recognise the car below ?

Mmm. I suppose it's a TV one. Not "The Professionals" as that was an S. Didn't Terry have one in "Minder" though?
