Running rich, rough running and IMRC questions? ST170

Featured Replies

Hi all,  I need some education on the Ford Focus ST170IMRC - I have tried to do some research but i cannot find the info I am looking for. So my car is running VERY rich, its boggy at low rpm and just drives poor as though its fuelling is all over the place. I have had it code read on Delphi and Forscan with no errors, and I found a post on Totalford saying the IMRC can cause the issues I am having. So the IMRC module itself is working and fully functioning, it pulls the arm back on startup and releases at  higher RPM as it should however, I have no way to see if the flaps inside are actually OK?  Is there any way to check inside the manifold to check if the flaps are okay?, when I move the lever by hand manually it does feel like flaps are moving and like they hit and end stop(they dont self return is this normal?) Any way all help would be appreciated! Thanks
