After changing injector seals , the engine wont start

Featured Replies

As above , it turns over very fast when an injector is removed but struggles to turn over on key , have fitted new battery, smotor , checked earths  .

Also engine glow plug light flashes on and off when ign is on and a relay clicks on and of in the engine fuse box .

Welcome!
Was it turning over OK before you changed injector seals (and assume there was a need as they were leaking?)?
If it's  too slow (compared to before) turning over after changing all of those parts then there's another fault in the starter circuit?
Suspect you need to read codes (Forscan + V-Linker - plenty of links on here or ask) and find out why glow plug light is flashing?
Also assume (dangerously) that the system hasn't lost it's fuel prime due to disconnecting pipework?

Is the battery fully charged?

You say you have checked the earths, but have you tried putting a jump lead between the battery earth point and somewhere metal on the engine block to bypass the main earth wire?

Hi thanks for replies .

Have tried jump leads to another battery and another car but with all injectors out it whips over but when injectors in it tuns over slow, about one revolution then stops .

Admitted I havnt tried a jump lead from earth on battery to engine .

It gives the effect of having a very flat battery , but battery is new ?

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums.

Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member.

There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one.

If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance.

The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

Hi , have now connected jump lead from battery earth to engine and it still the same fault ty .

Have a load test done on the battery.  Just because it's new doesn't mean it's good.

Agree and suggest to avoid further Mods Anger, start a post in the Mondeo forum referring to this one and continue from there otherwise this thread may well be deleted!
