Hi I am Gill, I am new here, I have an Ecosport titanium 2016 ecoboost, over the last 2 weeks I seem to be having issues, firstly I had a tyre pressure sensor warning saying it couldn't be detected, all tyres are inflated to correct PSI, it seems to come on every time the tyres get warm, its not there when I start the car from cold. Now the off side head lamp bulb has gone but when replaced it still does not work, I have checked  all fuses in the engine compartment fuse box which all appear to be fine BUT I still have no off side head lamp, if you guys have any advice or know what the issues could be I would be very grateful for your input. I am trying to refrain from putting the car in the garage as I need it for work

To be expected on a 2016 car.

The TPMS sensors only last between 7 and 10 years before they have to be replaced. A brand new set of 4 can be bought for £28. An independant tyre garage will usually charge about £15 per wheel to fit them.

You will need to follow the Ford relearn procedure to activate.

Now regarding the TPMS. The batteries in all 4 of your 2015 cars wheels will be at the end of there life, so you may as well replace them all and do the job just once.

You programme them once they have been fitted and the wheels are back on the car.

Yes thank you, I have read about the TPMS sensors,  I am not so concerned about that as I  can get rid of the warning by going through the cars menu and resetting tyre sensors for a temp fix, My main concern was regarding the off side head light.

do you know where I can get the sensors from for that price please as in my local area they want £31 per sensor

eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/405804553249

As far as I can tell your Ecosport uses the Ford sensors with the 'Square'

Perhaps @iantt can confirm or correct me if I'm wrong ?

Is it the dipped beam or high beam (or both) that is not working ?

thank you so much I have just purchased those from ebay, and also the tester from amazon which is coming today, as for the light it seems to only be the dipped beam the high beam seems to be working fine

The headlight problem sounds like either you have a faulty new bulb or it's not fitted correctly.

Swap the bulbs over between the headlights and see if the problem changes side.

First time poster, but I have a similar TPMS sensor not detected warning on my 2014 Ford Fiesta 1.25 petrol.

I've been looking at replacement sensors online, but without taking the wheel apart, how do I know which type of sensor (square, triangle, circle) I need as the replacement.

I've been quoted £70 per wheel for replacement & pairing, which seems quite high?

Crazy price !!!

  • Set of 4 sensors is £28 or less.
  • Tool to programme £10
  • Fitting of new sensor £15 per wheel
  • Total cost £98 for all 4 wheels.

I would expect that a 2014 Fiesta will be using the sensor with the square, only way to know for sure is to take one off and have a look. Just fit the spare wheel (if you have one) and then order the sensors

Thank you for that. I thought that it was a bit pricey.

I think my difficulty might be finding a garage who will do the sensor change with parts not purchased through them.

True, that almost all main tyre chains will only fit their own parts (at £70 per wheel). Shop around locally and check out the small back street independent tyre garages. Ones offing to sell 'part worn' tyres will fit them, no questions asked.

I only use the small backstreet garages, they are more trustworthy as they can not afford to have a bad reputation, been ripped off too many times by the chain garages like kwik fit, chemix etc , I have purchased to TPMS reader so once fitted My better half will programme for me. we have been quoted £15 per wheel as its basically just a strip and refit

Have you gone for replacement of all four?

I live in a rural area, so unfortunately there aren't so many back street garages around.

I am going to see an independent tyre fitter tomorrow, so hope to be able to come to some arrangement.
