Electrical gremlins

Featured Replies

Ive owned my galaxy for 9 years now, mechanically very good but lately a few electrical problems have occurred 1st would be the ac it doesn't seem to work but I've had it recharged and asked to check my pump which was working! Don't know why it's stopped blowing nice cool air?

Second would be the rain senor wipers they go on full boot even when there is just a spit of rain! Would actually like the intermittent to would on the stalk just which would help!

Third the parking sensors don't work either fs 😒

Anyone know of how to fix any of these or a specialist here in northern ireland?

How old is the car battery. Have you got a multi meter to get a voltage reading from the battery terminals when it has been resting for a few hours?

Watching this with interest as wiper auto intermittent on ours also has a life of it's own and often defaults to full speed!

Any Forscan fault codes (especially for parking sensors - is the module recognised?)

My Fiesta does that when the battery SOC is low (the battery will need replacing before winter because the SOC ranges between 21% and 53% when it hasn't been on a charger recently).

@pcaouolte thanks, battery is less than a year old and is behaving well (no "Low Battery" alerts which used to be common) and another issue came up today which was left hand flashers going at double rate (but all bulbs still working!)
Switch off and on again - back to normal!

Looks like some of this is computer related i.e. if in doubt, switch off and on again?
