Ford Focus Mk3.5 1.5 TDCI 120 hp - Low power e more fuel

On a simplistic level I'd check the DPF pressure differential as, my understanding (likely wrong) is that ASH buildup will give a higher reading than normal towards the time when it needs to be removed and cleaned (not necessarily renewed!)
Your NOx code may relate to AdBlue which I know little about but crystallisation and hence blockage of the injector is common (additive needed once the issue is sorted?)
The symptom of extended crank may be a clue...to something and slipping the clutch implies a major loss of power?

I’ve already tried checking the DPF differential pressure via Forscan, but it shows a fixed value of 0, even when I accelerate. My Focus is a 2015 MK3.5, so it doesn't have AdBlue. As for the slightly reduced power, I've been living with it for a while now (pretty much since I started this thread), and despite everything I mentioned before, I also did a full service and replaced the fuel filter, but nothing changed. I need to do a smoke test just in case there's a leak somewhere around the intercooler area.

Also, I've driven the car again and the check engine light isn't on.

That is very strange.  In that case, it's very difficult to avoid risking wasting money on a fault like this. I don't suppose you have a friend or relative with the same engine model?  If you cou

  • There is something wrong with FORScan's MAF Desired, I can assure you it shouldn't be 52 at Idle. When you posted this I was about to post that I would expect between around 5 and 9 g/s at Idle.

  • The Actual MAF looks fine to me, the MAP looks a bit unsteady.

I think these just have a NOx trap, separate to the DPF. (Like a little separate cat specifically for NOx). However the parts catalogue doesn't show a NOx sensor after it, so I'm not quite sure what's triggering that fault code.

DPF differential pressure at 0 is the obvious fault here though. That needs further investigation. Will only be one pressure pipe on these so if that's split then that would explain it. However, not getting a DPF Efficiency fault code suggests that maybe you're looking at the wrong parameter for DP pressure, and the correct one is changing as it should.

If the DPF is clogged with ash or soot then that will reduce power. They can't really be cleaned on this engine as both ends are bent over, so need to be cut open, by which point you might as well just replace it. If the clutch is slipping, that will also reduce power. That seems much more likely given the mileage.

Guys, I don't understand what's going on. Magically, after driving it last night, the P2000 error disappeared without me resetting the ECU. This morning I double-checked for any leaks from the intercooler hoses but found nothing, and I replaced the plastic clip on the fuel line (the one with the tab you have to lift to pull the hose out). I'll check the new descriptions on Forscan. Since I'm Italian, I see the same parameters in two languages (Italian and English), and it looks like the English one actually works. I'll check back later.

This morning i have also used the Bardahl DPF Cleaner, but i have yet do full tank yesterday and now there are 3/4 of tank

I normally rated some additives (Archoil, the AdBlue anti- crystallisation if I ever need it) but DPF cleaners AFAIK only reduce the regen temperature slightly so don't fix any system issues.

If you come back with a fantastic improvement, that would be great!

As said above (I think) DPF pressure at zero makes no sense and needs investigating. It should be zero engine off, then we need figures at idle and 3000 rev/min for comparisons?

I will update.

I'm watching some video on youtube because i have found vapor oil or something like this, on the top of intercooler and it is longer as all the plastic piece. It's normal or can be a leak ?
