Parasitic drain?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 2011 Ford focus,MK3. A couple of months ago it had a coolant leak inside the driver footwell from the heater matrix pipes which have now been fixed, I’ve been trying desperately to dry the inside of the car which I’ve pretty much done now. But recently I’ve been having some electrical issues. First the passenger side windows were very hit and miss, but now work absolutely fine. But a couple of days ago the car was completely flat. I jump started it, ran it about for a while and again the next day it was dead.

I did a parasitic draw test on it which showed 0.70A and removing the fuse for the sync stereo system dropped it down to 0.30A.

I’m just wondering if anyone else has had this leak destroy any connectors? And if anyone can give any pointers where to be checking first. As under the carpet of the driver side actually looked fairly okay.

Thanks
