2011 titanium 1.6 petrol drivers door wing mirror fault

sometimes my wing mirror doesnt open out when swilching on the ignition, sometimes it does. When it doesnt open out I press the button by the window controls sometimes it works sometimes not. If this fails, I open my drivers door windon and then press the mirror button which always works.? Is there a remedy for this as its driving me nuts. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    As it's only one mirror that rules out a control fault.

    It is possible the motor is just worn out after 15 years.

    Alternatively there could be a broken wire or a corroded plug around the drivers door.
