Has anyone tried AcDelco syncromesh friction modified - part number 10-4014 or had good results from another product.

    if the box is serviceable - always use the fluid the manu recommend - auto boxes are so "difficult" these days a bottle of gunk could well make it far worse

    for example my non ford auto was filled by a brand specialist garage using a later fluid and it drove stupid - it was like a different car with delayed gear changes - it was only coz I knew and asked their techs who thought they were doing the right thing - that they got to redo the job using the right stuff - after they double checked and found out I was right
