Connecting 3 pin alternator plug to existing wires

Featured Replies

Hi,

Unfortunately the wires from the 3 pin alternator plug have been severed. I bought a replacement version, however this has come with a red, blue and black wire. These do no correspond at all to my existing wires that used to have the alternator plug. The wires in the car are striped yellow and black, light purple and blue.

The picture of the severed wires are the ones already attached to the car. The black, blue and red are from this, which I bought from eBay to replace the original part which is now lost.

Battery cuts out, charge goes from 12.05 to 7.35 withing 5 minutes. And then it fails to start again so I have to ask for it to jumped.

Please help with how I can pair and crimp the wires without blowing my ECU.
