A little about a possible problem

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, I'm from Serbia. I drive a 2012 Ford Focus MK3. I have a few questions regarding a possible malfunction. Oil is leaking from under the turbine, I took the turbine in for inspection, the technicians said everything is fine with the turbine. The other problem is the sound that can be heard in the recordings at . I'm wondering if it's the water pump or some kind of spanner? I'll post pictures and videos so you can see what the problem is. Any help is welcome. thttps://streamable.com/wxq0yq, https://streamable.com/qryeze

As this is about to disappear off the bottom of the "recents" I can only say the short recording of the noise reminds me of a belt driven water pump bearing type of noise i.e the bearing (or something) is drying up? Spray some WD40 on components to see if you can narrow it down?
If there's an oil leak from turbo then there's a fault - just depends how bad it is and how much it costs to fix if you can't leave it?
Otherwise, I'm out!

thanks a lot for any kind of help. find with this what you told me to do with the spray.

Spray on one part at a time and hopefully you'll find it. If not, may have to remove drive belt for a short time to confirm it's something driven by that.
... Oh, and Welcome!
