Focus MY2019, 1.5 petrol, manual - EGT sensor fault

Featured Replies

I own a 2019 Focus(left hand vehicle), 1.5 petrol (150hp), manual gearbox with the following issue. I have a fault P0546 (see the attached pictures).

A service repair shop changed the EGT sensor with an OEM one (I see that there is only one on petrol variants) and did not check the wiring to it which I suppose could be one the issue (or intermediate connector). I checked the old sensor with a heat gun and the resistance value was changing pretty quick (I assume the sensor itself was not really faulty).

After I erase the codes the error shows up immediately but the check engine light comes on after 30 or 40 km.

Is there anybody that had the same issue?

I would like to check the wiring myself but I am not sure how to identify the correct pins on the PCM connector. Can anybody help me out?

*I would like to avoid going to another repair shop as for this issue I have already been charged with an O2 sensor and an EGT sensors, both OEMs and with a week of waiting time between appointments.
