How to fix gas gauge?

My friend helped jump start the battery in my 2011 Focus the other day. Everything went fine except the gas gauge (digital + needle) stopped giving proper reading. The dash clock + radio stations were not affected. First time this ever happened and now I don’t know how much gas I have until empty! Anyone have any experience or tips to fix my gas gauge? Thanks.
