Hi guys,

Just looking for some advice re my mk2.5 diesel focus. Im not the most clued up on cars however have started taling a real interest especially at my focus (huge fan). I have had the car less than a year and its been working fine all except for the EGR. The one that was fitted when bought was “stuck closed” did my research etc learned how to take it out and clean it……. Happened again so i changed it with a Ridex one, probably not the greatest but car ran ok how ever the other persistent problem is the loss of power to which my mechanic pointed out was limp mode anywho after the engine light started coming on i bought a scanner, albeit a cheap one, deleted it but the limp mode/power loss persisted took it to the mechanic they found the same problem deleted it and told me to monitor and take it back if it starts again. Worked perfectly fine for over a week no loss of power no warning lights excellent……. Not any more! Taking it back for a new EGR was just wondering if anyone else has had problems and if it happens woth the new EGR what could be causing it?
