Engine service now system alert.

Featured Replies

I have a ford focus eco boost 1.0 2017. I Have been getting an intermittent engine service now system alert, seems to be happening when I accelerate but not exactly sure. No fault codes on my reader and the system alert goes away when I turn the ignition off. Had my wet belts done nearly 10000 miles ago. Cars on about 95000 miles. Started happening about 500 miles ago and is getting more frequent but is still intermittent. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

From my previous experience with that kind of message, I had a similar experience with my Mondeo TXS with the terrible PSA 2.2 engine ( mullered turbo @ 5,000 miles ).

It's a generic message and needs further information, your code reader may not be picking up the DTC for some reason.

You may need indy garage / dealer level code reading.

Yeah, chatGPT is saying the same thing that I need a more in depth tester. Could possibly be a boost issue and that’s why it’s happening when I accelerate.
