Accessing Door Protector Mechanism

2022 MK4 Focus. My driver's side mechanism has stopped working. I removed the door card this morning but couldn't work out how to remove the inner panel - the black panel on which the window motor is mounted etc. I removed the numerous white vinyl screws/bolts but the panel seemed to be still connected at the top. Can anyone tell me how to remove this? Thank you!

    The window rests on that panel. It needs to be disconnected from the regulator and taped to the top of the door before the panel can be removed.

    There is also a largish torx bolt at the top of door that holds the upper regulator to the metal door panel

    Round black sticky tape covers hole. Only needs loosening a few turns, rather than removing completely. Plastic panel can then be pulled down and out
