The glass beading is worse than smearing tbh, it just sits there even at 40mph lol.  I tend to put the windows down until I've got some speed up.  The 'heater' is just blowing cold air for that first minute or so anyway so it's no colder tbh. 

Some rain-X on the windows and the water will just run off once you get going

    to be fair the water runs off anyway when you move its mire annoying that you cant see out you're windows when trying to get out the drive easiest solution put the window down

    I think this is a design issue. Older cars have window rubbers that touch the glass and clear rain and snow, but newer cars seem to have rubbers that don't touch the glass. So there's a gap which allows rain in and also lets algae form on the felt strip in the door.
