Number Plate Bulbs

Featured Replies

I got excited  and mangled the metal strip of mine up,

in the end i had to remove the boot handle to get them out as the metal strip got pushed away from the bulb unit instead of towards it,

bought a replacment set off e-Bay.:)

Good that you managed to find a replacement Lenny :)

I did this too, but I got the unit out and just bent the metal back into shape and it went back in no probs. So I took it out the proper way to make sure it was still ok, and it was perfect.

Must've just been lucky in my stupidness

the metal parts on my old ones have more bends in them than .....

ill finish that sentence later, i still have them though so might try straightening them but their all kinked which has shortend the length of the plate.

they pop out easily enough with a tiny force and something slotted behind them... mine are perfect, 501 xenon effect bulbs, are a clear white, but then dont look like the over the top look some kids wap on their cars and dont over-brighten it! my 2 pence worth

I FINALLY MANAGED IT!

the days spent trying to seperate the metal clip from the black resulted in the drivers side almost 90' up from where it should have been so that was a pain but nothing a screw driver and brute force couldnt get out! the passenger side got done properly as i could see the metal clip so with the use of an allan key it just popped out :)

also fitted black edge headlights to my black zetec s, bit unsure atm but im sure they'll grow on me
