Replacing The Alternator

Featured Replies

Hi guys.

First time on here, and a extreme novice level when it comes to car mechanics.

Had a problem with the alternator on my 97 fiesta. Dad took the old one out, and bought a new one. But what dad failed to do until we went to place it back in was to mark which wire goes to which plug.

The Alternator is a 3 connector Bosch, With the plugs of DF D+ and B+. Now there wires we have is the Main Red wire, a Blue and Yellow wire and a Black and Green Wire. We know the red wire connects to the B+ socket, but unsure on the other two. Can anyone let us know which goes where?

Thank you
