Direct replacment for more power or just reduced lag?

Apologies for the slight topic change

Im running a GT2049s fixed vane turbo with wastegate, heatwrapped decat & downpipe and straight- through (but silenced) exhaust, total EGR delete, resonator bypass, front mounted air-air intercooler (bigger/ flows better but only 25% larger internal volume than stock), with external waterspray, digital adjustable boost controller with 100psi solenoid, shorter boost hoses, custom large diameter CAIS, gas- flowed airbox/ air intake, 30psi boost gauge

Superchips Bluefin revision 3 remap

Ive got a 2nd exhaust manifold/ turbo assembly that ive had a ss plate made for the EGR cooler (to blank it before the cooler) im planning ceramic - coating the manifold and heat- wrapping it,

The question is can i get a replacement compressor & housing that can increase the gas flow at the top end and allow me to run a little less boost for the same gas-flow BUT without increasing lag significantly or without a significantly higher boost threshhold / or reducing bottom end power

The torque comes in strongly at the bottom end and pulls strong from 1000rpm, it drops off above 3.5k, ive already got the biggest injectors available, (so ive got to be careful of it "running lean")- i don't want too big a turbo to put a hole in the powerband, just a little bit more flow at the top end

the whole setup from the boost controller, exhaust, inlet, map, intercooler etc are all setup to reduce lag - it goes from 30 to 100 in under 24secs in top, (safely off road - i don't drive fast) i don't want to loose that but gain more top end (i know its a lot to ask)

The decat is 2-1/2" and the rest of the exhaust is 2-1/4", im waiting for this to rot off so i can upgrade to a 2-1/2" or 3"

Ive got a 1-off inlet manifold with oversize inlet and various other parts ive not fitted yet,

Ive probably just about gone as far as i can with the little GT2049s turbo - any suggestions welcomed :)

PS - you can probably tell what i do from this post - obviously a super- villan bent on world domination

As a CNC lathe operator, I sympathise with you, I started out doing that though. Then one of the guys said, you wanna learn how to run this. Over the space of my summer holidays I learnt how to use Fanuc control. We all start somewhere ;-)

Apprentice Shipwright at Babcock Marine at Rosyth Dockyard...hopefully about to qualify :)

self employed, have been so for 20+ years.

qualified angling coach

specialise in taking kids heading down the wrong road, use angling to try and redirect them back to the right one

must admit, enjoy that over my main work, hoping it develops into more full time work

Much prefer the old school mechanics, i have no time for those who look at you funny and say something along the lines of 'computer says nothing wrong so there is nothing wrong.'

my thoughts exactly

i wont change anything untill i

a: know exactly whats gone wrong

b: know that the offending part cannot be repaired

Unfortunately good guys like yourself seem to be few and far between.

so your a self employed mechanic? do you work from a premises or are you mobile?

mobile

been thinking of getting premises, but enjoy the outdoors too much, plus although you can get good deals, economic climate doesnt make the gamble worthwhile right now.

plus the angling coaching is taking off, being mobile makes it easier to combine the two.

I think the best job I've heard here is the police :) Would love to be part of the police, don't know why...
Considering that most people I know abseloutely detest them (As I say though, anyone who say "The poilice are *****" are usually up to stuff they shouldn't be, since police are the first people you'd run to if something was wrong - definately get less respect than they deserve).

Personally, I work in a "Convenience Store" as a "Till operator" and "Shelf stocker" and also doing some "supervisor jobs" while on standard Customer service assistant wages...
and working in McDonalds as a "Crew Member"
And Work(ed) in nightclubs as a Photographer (Finally got out of it! Kinda... still do it occassionally when I need quick spare cash)

Hopefully with my car, I will advertise for more photography gigs. Mostly interesting in events such as weddings, Coporate events, festivals - basically stuff where people are interacting with each other, showing their true emotions, rather than being stages and setup.

Railway guard with merseyrail in liverpool nice and easy haha :)
