Locking Wheels Nuts - Which Size?

Featured Replies

Hi all.

Had my alloys completely re-furbed [sandblasted and powdercoated] and they look great.

Now need to buy a new set of locking wheel nuts to secure them as the key to the previous set broke when removing the wheels.

The wheels are the original ford 5 spoke Zetec S alloys.

Want to be sure of the correct thread size etc before I go ordering the wrong ones off ebay.

Also does anyone know the best make to go for?

I phoned a local ford stealer who could not give me any tech info, and just told me he had one set that would fit on the shelf and that they were £58 !!!!

Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards

Mcgard are pricey but quality,

I've just purchased 16 replacement nuts with mcgard locking nut kit,

If you want a second hand set of ford locking nut kit from my focus I can ship them to you for 18 pounds,

Excellent choice sir,

May I suggest purchasing an Mcgard wheel lock key bag,

I've got one for mine and it slides on to the wind handle of the wheel jack,

Keeps your locking key safe and ensures you don't forget it when returning the parts in the boot.

Do ford sell locking nuts with a unique keys?

I find it odd how so many peoples lock nuts I come across are pretty much identical with one another, with keys popping up on ebay etc.

I heard how gorillia lock nuts are meant to be the best?
