Is there a way to make the bonnet release on a Focus a SENSIBLE one with a pull under the dash, rather than the "AARRGGHHHHH!!!!" inducing Ignition Key one?

Yeah, I was looking for SVA approved ones, and the flat ones with handles look the best. meanwhile I have to get the *four letter word alluding to a lady's front bottom* to open on the key, and the ke

The plans for the plaque look good mate,

The guy i bought mine from glues a strip of carbon vinyl print to the backing of the text enhances appearance,

The dials on the mk1 look awesome too, would have taken a lot of time to perfect that for sure.

I've got a left acetabular fracture,

This is the socket of the pelvis/hip which the leg joint slots in to,

Mines fractured from left across to right of the left leg socket basiclly socket is split since accident in May.

I'm still swollen by 1" protruding on the left upper leg/hip area and in pain despite taking the prescribed medication twice daily.

I've got another week to go before i start physiotherapy at which point I've to put 50% weight on the leg for a duration of six weeks,

Prior to returning to specialist for another scan to confirm whether or not its healing,

If its not healing then its operation so time will tell.

Thanks for asking mate.

Don't do that gear thingy, you'll only drop something down there like a coin or a chip and it'll be a barsteward to ever get out!

Reminds me of the Levin BZR i had a while back,

I removed centre console and found half a sausage from a garage Deli,

Was rock solid but strangely it didn't look over a day old lol

I also found a bullet in the boot compartment of that car and a Robert Miles CD in the glovebox along with an invitation to a wedding in Japan,

Tis mad what ya may find behind panels in the car.

Lol!

Previous owner was murdering a sausage whilst listening to robert miles.

  • 1 month later...

Hey

I'm new to this forum so firstly, apologies if i shouldn't be posting my question here!

I have a MK1 Focus 2.0L Zetec and I am wanting to smarten up the engine bay a little. I was wondering if any of you had any ideas of where I could some of the piping (vacuum piping i think its called??) in blue, so i could literally take off the tired looking black pipes and replace them with nice new blue ones?

Appreciate any help/advice

Cheers

Corey

Ap motorstore. They sell the silicone hoses you desire :)

Ap motorstore. They sell the silicone hoses you desire :)

+1

They currently have a 20% sale on,

Also trade on ebay under the name "MrSilicone"

Ive bought a few items through there ebay sales with no problems atall.

Thank-you guys!

On another note, I am looking at a double din facia for my MK1 Focus on ebay, there is a note on the decription saying "The dash requires modification to make the fascia fit correctly." Has anybody had any experience with this? I thought a facia would just be a straight swap with the original?

Thanks in advance

Not on the mk1 but it's probably a case it needs a new cage?

Perhaps ask the seller for more elaborate information regarding the aspect of Modification require as you would like to invest in a double din fascia for the Mk1 focus moving forward however somewhat sceptical in regards to the level of modification required to achieve the overall fitment ;)

BTW; has your focus got rear drum brakes?

Would you like to upgrade the brake lines to stainless steel?

See link: http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/73402-for-sale-focus-mk1-goodridge-brake-lines/

The space for the stock radio is 1.75 din & not full 2 din. Basically 1 din & 3/4. So need to chop & modify the radio facia.

Here you go kit to fit double din

I think the "modification" is cutting a small dash support out iirc... Might be completely wrong though!

I didnt do this mod as i fitted single din Alpine headunit with mp3 changer & underseat subwoofer.& pioneer 6x8 custom speakers.

Two reason fidnt go for double din.

A. I already had this & was an awesome unit.

B. Double are more prone to nicked.

Aware of that mate :)

I was apposing the other person seeking to fit a double din headunit in there Mk1/mk1.5 may like to purchase a dummy face plate in the event they shared your views that you had when fitting to your mk1.5 focus regarding double din.

I have a double din there, can I just cut the original face a little bigger and it will fit? Mk1 focus

Here you go kit to fit double din

Yunii

Thanks Yunii, this is the kit I am looking at - the one that states it needs modifications to fit, hopefully these modifications won't be too difficult as I love the look of a touchscreen in the mk1.5 dash!

You will have to cut a bit of the dash out, top right that's the only bit I can see that would be possible for it to fit after u take the fascia off, its to the left of the ashtray, wish I just stayed single din now lol, more hassle than its worth but stated now so have to finish it now lol, I'll add some pictures once I go out today to do it, give you a ruff idea, but doesn't look easy,
