just fitted this, had to modify the switch, as the plug wont fit on this switch ,so i swapped over the circuit & rubber etc

still to do a bit for the powerfold mirrors, this switch came from japan & cost me £45

Call me a hypocritical !Removed!; but 45 pounds for a switch is muchos expensive,

Does it light up red? Because that feature alone I would value at 15pounds

this switch is essential for controlling the powerfold mirrors,so thats why i bought it,seen as its japan only feature & ford did optional extra on some titanium-x models, the plug on the switch loom on car is different to the newly acquired & fitted switch,so had to swap casing over ,so it fits the loom plug, as for powerfold mirrors ,they generally cost around £180 each, so i got an absolute bargain paying onlt £65 each,& they're brand new genuine ford ones. a rare find on ebay, you could say pot luck

usually on titanium or even the ST, you have the interior alarm scan delete button which the above had been replaced by, as this is combination of the two on one switch.

next powerfold mirrors mod. btw LENNY can you paste a pic of your zetec-s pedals as i fitted the brake/clutch throttle pedal, but still to fit the foot rest plate, i'd like a close shot of the foot rest ,its position.

I've built my ZetecS mate,

I don't have the pedals yet but they are on my list for completion,

If any factory built ZetecS owners are reading could they please post an image of your drivers footwell?

Here you go!

post-8771-0-75477200-1367665494_thumb.jp

With mat unfortunately half of foot rest gets covered

post-8771-0-45621700-1367665559_thumb.jp

If you could re-drill the lower mounting hole further on up the foot rest and place a spacer in you could effectively slide the top of your mat under the plate so its always on show!

Very good mate! Did you fit the foot rest lower down than the factory position? Looks alot more accessible/useable

  • Author

No mate, I trimmed the mat to perfect fit so it doesn't look tacky.also I didn't drill as the kit comes with a srew in plug tha you push in a already poked hole made by a pointed screwdriver or similar.
