higgsy
The screens are the different. The blacked part at the top of the screen is different As you see on the one I posted above which is from a car that has had the auto mirror/lights/wipers fitted as standard it has a black part to cover all the internals such as the sensor/ mirror cowling etc with a hole for the sensor. Standard screen doesn't have this, so you would just mount the sensor lower down below the current "blacking out". Also there is the inside too, the mirror mount is different. If you don't have the correct screen its never going to look 100% perfect as you will always see some of the internals from outside, but as Kurt has shown you can work round this and get the best result possible with what you have to work with. mixmasterlooney
Spot on James. They are different indeed. Cars with smaller lcd display above the steering wheel also have a different windscreen with less of the black stuff The windscreen with sensor should fit neatly hiding all cables and the surrounding areas of the sensor Sent from my automated robot M1X-M4573R-700N3Y
mixmasterlooney
Had my sweet julia in for service Saturday all new filters, brake fluid change and air con regas (ford recommend every 3 years) plus new rear indicator bulbs all in all an over priced £400 service, booked stamped paint and body check completed with an included 12months AA cover. NSF outer CV boot has a split in it, ford wants £227 to do it or £80 pounds for the part, a part that has since changed since it's original state, my guess it's a known faulty part my car has only covered 30,000 miles Bought a new CV boot kit at euro car parts for £12 will change it next weekend myself hopefully I can make a guide. New triple R splitter on order as of today :D Next job coming up either tints or xenons I much rather get my tints done first with all the sun Sent from my automated robot M1X-M4573R-700N3Y

mixmasterlooney
Had my CV boot job done at ben's recommended pal today, all is well boot looks good. Mean while over the weekend i witness an accident that almost had my focus involved after it was freshly cleaned at the car wash! and to top it off the guy fled the scene, got his number plate and face on my dashcam although i missed where he actually made contact with the other vehicle, shame though the other driver left before i could tell him i had the video, totally forgot about my dashcam because it isn't visible from the drivers seat, mug almost swiped my focus trying to escape will post up video once uploaded to youtube
mixmasterlooney
In other news over the sunday of mothers day i took the first step towards gaining my full motorbike licence by completing my CBT. An entire day of training and learning how to ride and maneuver a motorbike (Honda CG125) not a scooter, it was good fun and i enjoyed it alot. In the world of motorbikes a Honda CG is, if not the slowest bike ever saying that though it's faster than my car upto 40mph lol, now i'm on the look out for a motorbike (125cc) to purchase, my old man used to ride a bike and so did my grand father it's only right that i learn how to ride one, now that i have i'm sort of hooked

Nighthawk
If you want unbelievable fuel economy and similar feel to the CG there's the CBF125. For a bike that doesn't look like a 125 is the Varadero 125, it is a twin cylinder V so smoother. mixmasterlooney
Today i did some work on my julia, alot of work actually, took off the front bumper and cut out the holes for jet washers, installed the jets and hose, changed over the water bottle and connectors for the wiring, put everything back together and now nothing, no screen washers no headlight washers lol nothing works. I figure the pumps on the water bottle clocked out, i really should have tested it before i put it all back together now i gotta take out the water bottle and swap over the pumps (sigh) good thing that isn't one of the hardest jobs. I didn't find anything hard about doing this anyways however i did come across 3 problems First the wheel was stuck onto the hub (I lost skin and blood due to this) had to bash the tyre with a hammer, secondly the bumper is screwed to the front undertray with 2 screws that is UNDER the Zetec S front lip, absolute pain to get back on, this was the only reason i even took of the front grille, thirdly the water bottle that came off a 2006 mk2 had a different plug and an extra hole in at the side that needed capping, wiring were the same though This mod is really starting to look achievable
