Hi there, just signed up to the club so wanted to say hello.


Just become the proud owner of a 2003 Streetka in blue. OK,
it’s for my other half really, but I’m not too proud to admit it puts a smile
on my face driving it around with the roof down, especially now we’ve got some
sun, regardless of how much it’s supposed to be a girlie car. It’ll also be me
that’s responsible for maintaining it – so it’ll be my car if it’s not working
properly!

It’s my fourth Ford; 20-odd years ago I had a couple of MK3 Escort
1.6 Ghias, and I also ran a 2002 Focus Estate for a bit. As well as the
Streetka my current fleet includes a Citroen Xsara Picasso (for moving the
kids), a 1966 Series 2 Land Rover (that’s my toy really – I spend more time
making it work than I do driving it!) and a 1978 VW Camper.

I also had a relationship with the Blue Oval having spent 10
years volunteering as part of a race rescue team sponsored by Mountune. Good
times!

I hope to be able to contribute, and I am sure I’ll be
asking for your expertise too.
