Fiesta Alloys

Featured Replies

Yeah that sounds like a wise idea, you might as well wait for what you want - good things come to those who wait ;)

When I went from my 195/50-15's to 195/45-16's I swapped from Goodyear to Hankook and the Hankooks are worlds apart from the Goodyear. Speak to your local tyre fitter though, they should know what is best for the local conditions and the type of driving that you do. Just check that the new tyre size isn't an odd one like mine was, if it is it just means more $$$.

Im not sure what happened in the UK but down under in Oz when they swapped the design in 2011, they also swapped the PCD from 108 to 100. This means that the post 2011 alloys don't fit the pre 2011 ones. On the ads you are looking at though they should mention what PCD they are. With yours being a 2009 you should have the 4x108 PCD.

I chucked the tyre specifications into a tire convert (195-50-15's vs. 205-45-17's) and there was a 3.2mph difference on your speedo which is a little high for me personally, but if you dropped the profile from 45 to 40 it decreased to about 1-2mph which you should get away with. (im sorry i hope thats the answer to your question of speed rating).

If they both have the same PCD though, I prefer the left ones ;)

The Titanium alloys you posted photos of are 16". And you want the 2011 version as the earlier ones buckled.

Will do :). Yeah sort of makes sense lol. I'll just take it to a garage and get them to check it :). Let the pros do it :).

I think I prefer the ones pre 11. They look bigger and better I think. I'm buying them new does that make a difference? Is it all pre 11 alloys that buckled? Or a certain batch?

They're all made from butter, not a particular batch :P

17 inch wheels do look great on the fiesta! Slightly more expensive in terms of tires though I guess

Oh really then I am going for the post ones then :).

Yeah I think so too :). Im going to get the 17". Yeah a bit more expensive for the initial out lay but once there on there unless I'm really unfortunate they won't all need replacing at the same time. Touch wood hehe.

Does anyone know the tyre size for 17 inch alloys for a fiesta?

Different people telling me different things lol

I'm pricing tyres up and unsure of the size

Thanks :)

Just to clear up some confusion as you seem to think Titanium wheels are 17" (they're 16")

Titanium 15 spoke design (both post&pre-2011) are 16"

Zetec-S 'Streetpack ' 5 spoke are 17"

16" alloys are 195/45 tyres & 17" are 205/40.
