Lol it's crazy, I just went on eBay and got some reg's and got quotes that way, couldn't get insured on a 1.6 2010 Zetec S however they'd insure a 2013 ST for £1600,

My Zetec S ecoboost was just over £2000, bearing in mind I'm 18, and had 2 claims I was chuffed! The ST was £3,400. But I knew getting that I'd probably end up doing something silly! Insurance companies I believe do have a flat base for your age. Then it's where live, previous history that alters that. Your car is the biggest factor of course, if it's slightly older it may be more from people having claims in that car. A month before I got my car I was quoted less for a new ST than my ZS but a month later, the time I was getting a new car it has risen by over 2 grand :(

That's why I got the Zetec S, could see my self in a ditch somewhere with an ST lol

what?? id take a new st with that insurance!!! wish i could even get a quote for a 1.6, or zetec s would love the new ecoboost but no one will touch me again. must have that face lol

ooo right i know the car had a claim on before i got it the previous one owner lady reversed into a wall needing a new bumper but she got the work done and sold the car straight away so would that have put it up? I'm not too bothered i get a company car later this year but i still want my own car and after selling my mk7 would love an st the new ones :/ but insurance again lol

i have no clue how i got insurance so cheap for my zetec s, it might help that i paid it all in full. there was even cheaper alternatives but they came with the silly box.

Your insurance policy really consists of three main parts:

1. Who you are!!
2. Car Crash Data
3. Area you live in.

then you have smaller things like:

1. your profession
2. Parents profession (Again if you think im talking bull then try it yourself)
3. how much annual mileage you've put down

playing around with these will show you a remarkable difference, i advice you be very honest. insurance companies now a days look for any excuse to not pay out in the event.

I have my parents as 2nd and 3rd driver on my policy with me being the first. im pretty sure that helps in a big way since they have 30+ years combined. you will also find strangely enough that your profession you put in affects the price by a couple hundred quid. Dont believe me... try it yourself lool.

I played with that and got the best i could, but i already slightly twist my job role abit to get it down.

I also have business miles added so im guessing thats more??

When renew comes around i will defo take a lot of time playing with the quotes and see what i can get and see if an upgrade on the car is there or not :)

Be careful with that as they'll know if you put down one thing and then take insurance out with something totally different,

i only changed it from gas apprentice to gas technician as thats what it says on my contract but I'm in an apprenticeship till september.

i got mine for 800 pound fully comp with no years no claim bonus and im 20 with the zetec s

I got my insurance on a 11 plate zetec s for 700 I'm 21 haven't got any no claims and a 14 day ban that was with direct line don't asked me how I was well chuffed

£265 to do both front grills, fog light surrounds, mirrors and rear diffuser.

I got a quote of 60 for the fog light surrounds both front grills gloss black plus the Asian grill inserts white 60 pound only bad thing is I have to take them all off :-(

Thats cheap. Its easy to take the fog light surrounds and the bottom grill off. The only one i had a job with was the small grill with the ford badge on. I broke some clips trying to take it off so i bought another one.

No he took them off. I took the car in. 3 days

Carnt decide whether i like the rs look on a non zetec s fez, i what do people think? Might copy and do it to mine :P just not sure :S has it turned heads as you drive about?

Everyone has told me it looks nice. It would look better if the car was a zetec s though. Was thinking of getting a rs badge to put on the front. Would anyone do that or not?
