Ordered these off ebay for £2.50 (Looked on AliExpress but really couldn't be bothered to wait 3-4 weeks for some £2 bulbs).

I did order wide angle LED's.... clearly somebody has a different interpretation of a wide angle light.... (Anybody know any decent bulbs that I can order from UK? Just impatient with waiting for deliveries)

Sorry to see they haven't quite worked, I guess your looking for more bulbs now. Was the light fitting itself easy to pull away from the car? I'm still waiting on my bulbs, just two more weeks and il be doing every light on the car to led!

Here's the link to the ones I've used for my number plate light, ordered more for my interior myself so these should do the trick mate.. Buy in bulk and do your number plate and boot lights too!

They just pulled out and new ones just pushed i.only £2.50 with 1 day delivery so will look for some more and try another set!

Just ordered these ones http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331348796146?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

10 for £5. And they point in all directions so hopefully be decent! Was also recommended them so we can compare results!

I've done all of my interior lights blue. The only one I haven't managed are the ones in my cup holder. Can anyone shed any light (pardon the pun) on how to get access to those LEDs?

JSMarsden, these look like they will definitely do the job mate. Nice work. Be sure to update with new photos and il do the same.

CW1907 The red led's in the cup holder would need pulling out entirely and wiring new ones in. There's been a few threads on this but basically it's a lot of effort for not much of a result!

Mac9577 thanks guess I'll just have to turn off my ambient light. Pants having a blue dash as standard and red led in my cup holder. My ZS is candy blue. Frustrating!!

I did red led's in the footwells to match the cup holder, so all low level lighting is red and rest is blue - mind u works better with a red car I suppose

Sounds good CW1907, do you have any photos?

Bwoody, nice motor..

I'll post them when my calipers are candy blue and my alloys gunmetal grey ;)

Here we go, got some new bulbs and look ace! (Although one started to burn out (saw smoke) underneath my feet so swapped it, noticed a little bit of plastic was covering an LED which obvs a manufacturing issue, but others seem fine)

2nd pic is taken from outside the car through the window (My seats aren't that dirty its just the glare!! :) )

Now - how do I swap the map/reading lights inside the car. I am struggling to get the plastic covering off - I notice there seems to be a clip/2 clips on the side closest to the window, however when I pop that side out the cover seems to still be firmly stuck in there and dont want to break anything - whats the best method to replacing them?

JSMarsden, looks great mate, my bulbs arrived today. Can you post a pic or link of the bulbs you just fitted? Do you wish you'd bought them in blue?

*Removed link*

These are the ones I got...nope always wanted them in white as I want to use them for the rear map and front map lights....possibly for number plates unless theyre too bright. Just need to figure out how to get them into map light area! cant get cover off

My red led footwell bulbs

Well I've removed the link for mine! As good as they looked, I looked under the wheel and saw one smoking, so decided to replaced it. I finally got 3 into my map lights (Fiddly plastic!) and waited. I opened my door to keep the lights on for a long period, and smelled a burning again. I looked under the passenger footwell and saw little bits of smoke coming from the LED.

Now, I don't know if its because the LED bulbs on the circuit were exposed (and ive more than likely touched the bulbs) causing either them to burn off dirt, or to short...

Anyhow, I have now removed all of them from my car and back to basic bulbs at the moment. Going to try my brothers tomorrow to see if i have any issues with his bulbs in my car!

Let me know when you get yours Chris

James I can't believe how unlucky you were mate. Definitely better to have been safe than sorry but LED's are not supposed to get hot when their in use anyway.. Although your photo did make them look great.. My latest package of the flat (two sided) LEDs turned up and will take some photos when I fit them this weekend. Certainly had no probes with the ones I've put in my number plate.

My other favourite mod I've done so far was my "S" scuff plates/door sills - For whatever reason my 2013 ZS didn't have any as standard so bought some "S" ones off Amazon.. They look great! Will take photos of these too as they really set off the car when you open the door :)

Yeh I know they're not meant to get hot so going to look at the ones my brother has as he has some nice dome ones for the map lights and some nice footwell lights (different car but same fittings)

But when they were hot when I pulled the faulty ones out, I knew they weren't meant to be hot. (Even if they didn't have a covering over the LED parts, the actual bulb still shouldn't be hot)

If I left them any longer I may have had a red footwell so could have kept them there.....red with fire that is lol

Hey guys.. I kinda need some help.. My LEDs came through and I've now fitted to the motor. Boot was absolutely fine, but I was expecting my footwell bulbs to be in a similar plastic protection housing.. They weren't.. Is this the case for everyone, or has my 1 previous owner removed them?

Thought I'd share my snaps :-)

Guys can someone please help??

Are your footwell lights enclosed in any plastic housing??? (Like say the boot and number plate lights?)..

When I had a look down there, I just had the bulbs, without any plastic to remove, so very easy to change..

I'm wondering if my one prior owner removed any plastic holders??

Nope both footwell lights on mine just pulled out and pushed back in. No covers or anything, nice and easy

Same here, just the bulbs
