Weird Noise When Parked And Engine Off

Featured Replies

EVAP system?

  • 11 months later...

Hello, I too have a high pitched whine. It's constant, day and night, inside the car is loudest, but you can hear it 10 yards away with the doors shut. No alarm, no sensors and I'm going crazy! Nothing stops it. Nothing!! It's there when parked, when running and when driving. My car is a Ford Fusion 1.4 TDCi 2008 model. Any ideas, it's been a week and it's annoying the neighbours too. Thank in advance.

Have you disconnected the car battery to see if it stops ?

If it still makes a noise then it is the alarm back-up sounder and the battery is running flat.
