I knew it had something to do with the exhaust. Lol

Hey that is a good one indeed apart of the mot and not all cars have it. That's something stef would come up with

One of my colleagues has just had to have part of their exhaust replaced because of the flexi pipe failing. Gave me the idea for the conundrum, then I just had to think of clues which didn't give it away.

It's not that hard ;)

I am a vital component but very cheap.

I can not be fitted incorrectly but if I'm not tightened up enough you will soon hear me.

Nope

Spark plugs or glow plugs

Nope.

Fan/aux belt

Nope.

First guess, so hope it's not too stupid a guess. Exhaust bracket or manual window winder?

Nope. None of the above are even close.

Edit: jeebs is the closest. As in vicinity.

Wheel bolt / locking wheel nut?

Nope.

Wheel balancing weight?

Edit: D'Oh!! Just re-read the clue & realise it can't be that. It's not vital & you don't tighten it up.
