It makes a big difference to the sound. If you want, you can have my old Vibe 10 passive sub for free. It's does decent sound and it's a good starting point. All you would need is a good 4 channel amp that you could further build on and a wiring kit. Use 2 channel in bridged mode to power the sub and in the future use the other 2 channel to power the front speakers when you're ready for an upgrade. All in, less than €200 or even less for a second hand amp. Plenty on Adverts. Would be very happy to help you out if you need to fit it or find parts :)

And you still retain enough boot space for family use. Win win :)

I actually still have my fitting kit from the previous install at home and it's your too Lenny if you want it.

Also, found you a decent amp, brand new according to the seller on Adverts. It's 75W RMS @4ohms x 4 channels and 2x200W RMS in bridged mode. Should work well with the subwoofer. Room to build on after. It has the same specs as my amp but newer and more efficient. I reckon the seller will take less for it as there are no offers at all on it.

I started back to work today on light duties only, so I'm not on shift and banned from overtime while on the light duties, end result: i will fit a sub and require your assistance in fitting but it may be January before I'm in a position to piece it all together.

Airside Ford host an RS Owners Club Ireland meet every year in June,

I was thinking perhaps next year i could arrange a FOC meet in the same location across the road from Airside Ford,

Then we could view and chat to the guys at RSOC aswell as each other plenty of pictures to be taken and a lot of ford,

If not an official FOC meet on the day,

Ill be attending the RSOC show in Airside Ford anyways and ill report on here with images from the day, if anyone wants to come with all welcome.

The carpark next to the beach in Malahide was a brilliant location aswell Hassan, plenty of green area for the kids to safely run around aswell and as you said football,

Hopefully gather enough members for a game of five aside next year :)

Definitely have a look at the build thread for ideas. The custom fit sub enclosure is very handy as it keeps weight down and the boot is still very usable. I have managed to fit a few suitcases in it with the new enclosure, which wouldn't be possible with the old subwoofer. The deep bass is due to the enclosure matching the specs for the subwoofer. I had the JL Audio sub in the Vibe enclosure before but the bass was never as clear and deep as it is now. I will keep the Vibe subwoofer on Adverts but so far I am getting just silly offers and to be honest, I have got my moneys worth from it using it everyday for nearly a year. I will not be taking any money from you for it. Not up for discussion. Consider it good karma coming your way for all the help you have given to all of us here on the forums :)

The spot in Malahide beach was not bad now. Never been there and had only seen it on Google Street view. Glad we had enough spaces for the car. 5 aside next sound like a hoot.

And forgot to say that I would love to help with your sound system project. I don't mind driving over to you on the weekends as we are normally in Dublin. Plus, it would be a lot quicker as I have done the process before.

Awesome photos Hassen - helps to have quality subject matter too: nice cars dudes. I especially love the eat sleep thing - took me a second, thought it was a graphical equivalent of a typo: no eating near my car!

Cool. Link me to the Ebay one via pm so I can have a gawk. Custom fit is the way to go. Definitely can be available to help out via phone or pm if you need. Wiring amps are fairly easy. Once you have the wires running from the head unit, speakers/subwoofer and battery, it's a question of plug and play. It's very similar to the one you had that was built in the sub :)

The plaque is on my mantle piece proudly on display. Had to fight the better half for it to get a spot :p

talking of mods, a nice cheap one I've found to be great is to change the standard air box cover for the Mk2 RS one along with the air scoop and snorkel helps the engine breathe nicely and with a K&N filter gives a lovely induction note :) looks nice and stock to if like me your not really into overly flashy engine bays :)

just need to find some silicone hose that will fit it.
