The thing is James, perhaps feeling the worst is the best case scenario, as at least you'll be braced...

That being said, is there any possibility that it's something LESS serious? Of course I know you're not a quack, etcetc but you never know whether this could be a good thing?

It is suggested it's 60/40 NOT in favour of MS, otherwise with no evidence it's highly likely to have been a mini stroke. Oddly I prefer the idea of MS as I know it's there all the time, mini stroke, well that's just a time bomb. The results of these tests could mean I volunteer my license in. Unless someone tells me what it's likely to be I can't say I would feel safe driving, because, he's happens if it happens again behind the wheel?

Well whatever it is and whatever the outcome, I've got my fingers crossed for you :)

Positive attitude always helps plus taking advantage of all the different kinds of support on offer. And if there's times when you are concerned about how your family and friends would worry, it's allowed to be selfish and let them deal with that while you concentrate on getting better. Been there and had the gentle telling off for thinking otherwise!

Brave of you to share your situation with the forum, hope all works out ok in the end.

:)

Thanks mate. I will be saying a prayer or two and those are reserved for serious situations

Hey Jeebs.

First of all, I do hope that your health improves, and it isn't as serious as it seems. I am currently out of work, having been signed off with depression. This comes after 2 bouts of cellulitis, the first of which nearly developed into septicimia (sp?). That and I have a 9cm cyst in my mouth too that will require surgery, which has a chance of leaving me with years of therapy in order to be able to talk again/permanent nerve damage, I get the fear of the unknown. To be completely honest, I am scared shitless of the surgery, scared that they will tell me it isn't actually benign and that I will be dead in a year. But like you, I have been hassling my GP for a referral and am dealing with it.

I hope for good news for you Jeebs, I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you but you seem like a top solid guy.

Thanks troy, yeah I don't know about brave, as I say it's not like announcing I'm out the closet lol but just a case of advising people how something so simple that feels normal to you could potentially be a very serous condition.

I have had my fair share of bad luck and health, so I always want O spread the word. If any comments I have made encourage one person to be checked over and catch something early, then my strife was not in vain and I could sleep better knowing someone else is going to be better as a result...

it's not like announcing I'm out the closet

Hope for your wife's sake that's not next

Telltale

My auntie had ms, sadly 5 or 6 years ago after a long battle as far back as I can remember she passed away.

It's not all gloomy though she had a son and grandchildren who she got to see grow up a little before she passed.

I wish you all the luck buddy
