Does anybody know how much lower the Eibach springs make the zetec s compared to the standard zetec s springs?

Thanks for the reply, I was under the impression that the springs were 30mm lower than the standard Fiesta springs (eg zetec, titanium etc) but maybe about 10-20mm lower than the zetec s as this is lower to begin with. I'm not sure though!

How much are they though?

£160.00. plus fitting at Pumaspeed.Absolutey easy to change. :D

so its lowered suspension or a personal plate . . . . one of which the ohter half might not notice especially if I can get the suspension done before delivery or when it is in being serviced sometime!

Yeah I have a private plate From my focus but don't think it would look Right on the Fiesta.....R55FOC

Never listen to the other half! I'm getting ear-ache for the Zetec S Spoiler sitting in the bedroom

Must admit that I think I would have ordered that through the dealer and got them to fit it prior to collection rather than have it sitting around the home - one more thing to remind yu that you have not for your Mk 7 yet . . .

Pumaspeed said fitting is £100

I have not checked with Ford yet but when I enquired for my previous car (mondeo) they were quoting £400 for fitting, saying that is was a 5 hour job, which is definetely not the case.

Yes its stiffer and to me makes the car handle better. ;)

Bimey - and I had heard that the ZS made the car bounce round bends already and this makes it stiffer still - how does it cope over our wonderfully potholed British roads then?

Bit harder than normal, try to avoid them because same as normal suspension if the pots too big it will flat spot the alloys.

I try to avoid them too but sometimes, with the smaller ones, you can't and that can unsettle a car especially in a corner

As it will with any set up on most cars :D

True - but from the road reports I have read they all point to the regular set up being the optimum thus making the ZS and Ecomatic ones not being the optimum already without making them harder.

I guess this, along with choice of car, colour, spec, etc. is all down to personal taste and while I like to hustle a car from time to time I also like a nice leisurely cruise in it too so I am sure I'll be happy with the standard set up with the relatively limited power it has to handle

Individual choice I like the cars stiffer and lower to the road as with all the Fords I have owned. :)

Yeah I guess I liked my lowered Ka and paid for it to make it look more sporty - maybe consider it once I have had the Fiesta a while and determined whether the standard set up works for me or not . . .

Doesn't lowering the car that much cause problems with kerbs and such?

I have always thought of doing it, but never have because the amount of times you see a kerb and think 'ooo this could be a bit close' is bad enough as it is in a standard car

Well try not to kerb your cars then - although having said that I did watch a guy in a Lamboughini Diablo trying to put his car into a neighbours drive and eventually gace up as he could not negotiate the slight dip and rise getting it off road . . .

You'Ve just to be careful and park a foot away from the curbs. :)
