Duratec Power Output

Featured Replies

I was checking the engine specs in my 02 Fiesta owners manual and the Duratec 8v is either a 60PS or 70PS engine. I was wondering if anyone knew a way to identify the variant under the bonnet.

As far as im aware the only way to tell for sure is to check the engine no.

Guessing you have a 1.3?

A9JA or A9JB means its a 70

BAJA means its a 60

The engine no. is located on the passengers side just below the rocker cover

Hurray, my 1.3LX has the 70 PS engine. Incidentally the 1.3LX is the best Mk6 Fiesta to drive according to carkeys.co.uk review here
