I don't know what to think about this lol, it would help if we had some facts but at the moment it seems that there are just allegations.

He has only been suspended (not fired) pending investigation.

The BBC obviously will not want to show anything he is in (i.e. Top Gear) until they have completed investigations to know what happened.

The thing is, imo he's a large chunk of what IS top gear. People tune in, because of his and the others personality and the banter between them.

I hope it will all blow over and they show the rest of the series soon, with Clarkson still on the show.

Shame sundays episode isnt on as I was probably on it in the background while they were at track day last year at castle coomb, lad I know lost control in front of clarkson after overtaking him and was sideways to clarkson. Lol

That's interesting, and I wonder if May and Hammond own some of it too. Would be cool if between the three of them they own the majority of the brand, then just move to ITV like Jonathan Ross did lol.

Yeah I heard the allegations and saw them yesterday, and his joking tweets lol.No investigation is necessary, either he punched him and he will have an injury, or he didnt, and there are no injuries - there you are beeb, I just saved you weeks and weeks of pointless paperwork...

I hear they may have actually DROPPED the rest of this series, from what the radio was saying there is no "on hold"...

He can be a bit pretentious and egotistic, but its his character and at the end of the day it wouldnt be the same without him, but I need to find me that petition!

From what I have read, it is just "expected" that they will drop the rest of the series.

The official BBC statement is just:

"Following a fracas with a BBC producer, Jeremy Clarkson has been suspended pending an investigation.

"No one else has been suspended. Top Gear will not be broadcast this Sunday. The BBC will be making no further comment at this time."

Pains me to say it but I haven't got around to watchin topgear for at least the last 2-3 series. I really need to catch up on it as I've missed out on a lot.

Being a Brummie, who clarkson regularly takes a shot at and who my dear Nan hated, even I have always thought the bloke was the best thing on TV and was the one thing I always watched. Clarkson is topgear. Wouldnt be anything without him

Just a shame Clarkson & Wilman sold their stake in the brand to BBC Worldwide a few years ago,

so there's Zero chance of any other channel picking up 'Top Gear' as it is.

clarkson got sacked from the show yonks ago when it had tiff needel and quentin wilson on it,and look what happened to it,it died a death,

few years later it came back with jesser at the helm and it sky rocketed,and started to earn the good ole bbc shed loads of wonga.

iirc they replaced jesser with the girl who went on to front 5 th gear with tiff,never really took off.thus in itself proves that no matter what they were trying to achieve its the characters themselves that make the show popular.

bet he is really kicking himself for selling his stake in it off.apparently the other 2 were miffed that he was earning far more then they were,
