L22EEW
A busy afternoon hard-wiring in the rear dash-cam. Decided to use a hard-wire kit (instead of running of the 12v socket), piggy-backed off the reserving lights fuse: ... and grounded here: Ran the wire along the bottom of the doors, under the trim: All the way through to the back, ran the remaining wire up under the side plastic trim. Tucking it under the roof lining, the only visible wire is the "slack" wire. As this is essential for when opening/closing the boot. Claims to be 1080P, which I find hard to believe. That's the only downfall, I have messaged the seller asking for a 50% refund. As they've advertised something, that clearly isn't 1080P. If they refuse, i'll return for a refund and just purchase another Mobius. At least I know the video quality of the Mobius is actually 1080P! L22EEW
Good job mate.. That Mobius is class for picture quality.. Stu Thank mate, i've returned that Amkov. Mobius #2 is now on order with amazon :)
L22EEW
Okey dokey... That Amkov was returned for a refund (what a piece of cr@p that was!!!!) - while I purchased mt 2nd Mobius from amazon. It arrived today, and I was delighted to see it was a genuine Mobius v.3 - did worry about it being a clone, but I opened it up and seen that it's all good. Anyway, with the hard-wire kit still in place from the Amkov - it was time to set-up the Mobius. To be honest, the set-up is far better than what I did with the Amkov. As the hanging wire is much less: Video quality of the Mobius: Compared to that Amkov rubbish: Video quality of the Amkov:

Zico
What is the mount that you are using for the Mobius?
L22EEW
What is the mount that you are using for the Mobius? It's a digital camera mount (had it for years), however the suction cup thingy snapped off. Instead I used some VHB tape, and cut little strips and stuck around the ends (where the suction cup used to sit). This 3M VHB tape is spectacular, as i'm using it to hold the front Mobius mount: and also my remote: ...and now the rear Mobius: I have ordered the same mount as i'm using for the front. But as the 2nd Mobius arrived 2 days ago, I couldn't help but get it set-up - as I knew I had that spare mount. So when that arrives I will simply keep it for a spare, after all it only cost 99p!!
L22EEW
Also mounting the Mobius on the bootlid, gives a wider field of vision (better IMO) - as a posed to having it mounted on the rear glass. Before sticking it in place I tried using the Mobius USB tools app on my phone, just so I could connect the Mobius (via the LIVE cam option), and use my phone as a viewing screen. However the lastest Mobius firmware is 2.41, and it not yet compatible with the app. The developer has now stopped any further development Mobius USB tools app :( The only ball ache about this is, you can't use the app on firmware 2.41. If you need to change any of the Mobius settings, you'll have the remove from your car and plug into the PC. I'm just hoping other developers out there with come up with a new app - something I did find was https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cz.chladek.mobiusactioncam&hl=en_GB Anyway back to what I was on about, with the better field of vision: I tried another app from the same developer, who created the Mobius USB tools app: Providing you have a OTG cable, you can connect to the Mobius, and use your phone as a viewing screen. As for those who own a Mobius, I think you'll agree that trying to set the camera up in the car is a nightmare. Simply because the Mobius doesn't have a viewing screen, so you'll have no idea what the footage is like - until you connected your phone via the OTG cable, and view the footage on the SD card. However with the USBcam app, you can cut all the nonsense out. As you can use your phone, as a viewing screen when setting/positioning the Mobius up. Some top tips there I reckon ^_^
