Sony Cd 6000 2Nd Generation – No Longer Pairs To Phone & Not Visible On The Main Display (Where The Speedo Etc Are).

Featured Replies

Any idea what has happened here? I used to have my phone paired to the Sony 6000 2nd generation radio & could access the phonebook from the main display where the speedo etc is, but suddenly it is no longer working. I don't even have the phone or the radio as an option on the main display behind the steering wheel. I used to be able to view what CD tracks were playing or what radio station I was listening too etc, but it has all gone. The only options I have on the display are the fuel computer & settings?

The radio still works fine; plays CDs etc., it's just that the integration to the main display appears to have been lost.

Any idea how I get this working again?

I did debond the phone from the radio, but now I can't pair it back again.

Any advise greatly appreciated

It could just need a bluetooth module reset.

Pull the power connection on the module for 10 minutes and see how you get on.

Thanks Clive,

I couldn't find where the Bluetooth module is on the Mondeo; but I found a video on YouTube for the Focus which directed me under the glove box.

I found what I believe was the management unit with some large multi-connector plugs attached around the outside. I disconnected all three of these & all the lights & everything went out in the car. Even the central locking stopped working.

I waited for >15 mins & reconnected them all back up again. Everything came back to life - including the radio; phone etc menus on the main display.

I've re-paired my phone & very happy.

Many thanks for your help Buddy :)

Cheers

Ken

Sounds like you did a full ECU reset ;)

If it worked though that's what counts.
