I've had one of my wing mirror bulbs blow on me and was wondering if anyone could tell me how to replace them ?? I'm thinking of changing them to LEDs while I'm at it as there brighter so also need to know the type of bulb ??

Do you mean indicator or the puddle lights (approach lights)

I gona say puddle lights lol. I've never herd them called by a name, but there the ones under the wing mirrors

They just pop out, you tube give good demonstrations

It's easy, tilt your mirror glass into the car so you have a large gap on the outside then you will be able to see the clip that holds the lens into the housing depress the clip with a screwdriver and the lens will be realised pull it out change the bulb and just press it back into place, I would check that it's working before putting it back.

Also if thinking of changing to LEDs some are a very tight fit and can split the holder as I found out on mine, it was done by previous owner not me, back on standard bulbs now the blue was annoying me

There is also one screw to take out before they pop out

No screws on mine nor on my mk3

I confused it for mk4 as my mk4 has screws sorry

My mk4 doesn't have screws just the clip

Mine is a 59 plate hatchback which has torx screws
