I have just been to the petrol station, and have noticed a dent on my wheel arch my side at the back. :-( How can people be so inconsiderate?! It is small-ish but I can see it (only from the side) Anyway of getting them out?

I'm so cross!!!!! If I did that to someones car I'd say so!!! grrrr

You would have to get it to a tinny to get it out. They have the special tools to do it.

I feel your pain Poohbear, I have had people open there doors and dent my car twice now :( I would give dent devils a ring it will cost £75 but they come out to your house or work and push the dent back out. They do a really good job as well.

If I had done it to someones car I would offer them the money to have it repaired.

Where would I find one of them and how much is it!? Lol...

Bugger. Why should I pay £75 because some people are so incompetent..

I could reel off a number of different things I would call these inconsiderate people, but I would probably get banned from the club.

I am SO angry!!!!! I would never just whack someones door or throw a trolley into it!!!!!!!

oh no :( its not being a good month for us fiesta owners

I try and park well away from everyone else, but you get back to the car and someone is right beside you. Some people are very inconsiderate.

Have contacted Dent Devils and just done Chipsaway, didn't realise they did dents too.

Thanks everyone, I'll let you know what quotes I receive!!

Sorry to hear this Emily, it does make you feel sick that some people have no consideration, I park as far away as I can and I take up two spots on occasions naughty me!!!!! again shame you dont live near me as Max has a great dent man who he recommends to his customers, he is cheap and very good. Its best to get the dent sorted now or else you will leave it and leave it and then when you come to selling it on regret never having it done at the time xxx

I think its a psychological thing. I did an experiment at work for a few weeks, parking my car at the farthest possible end of the car park away from anybody. Other people would park next to me, for no apparent reason. Must be some safety in number thing. 'If my alarm doesn't go off, maybe theirs will' type of thing. It is alwatys worth asking the petrol station for CCTV footage. You are entitled to it if a crimal act has been commited (hit & run) and it will safe you and claims bonuses and excess you are paying. It works too

This is why it takes me an age to park my car anywhere, like Michelle I often park crap on purpose to take up 2 spaces! lol it's worked so far, but inevitably I'm bound to get dinged. It's annoying because I respect other peoples cars, why can't everyone else respect ours?! My father used to have these god awful rubber door guards on his old focus, for the soul pupose of stopping HIS door hitting others, pointless as his car got hit so often. He took them off after a while. No point in protecting people who just don't care.

I know, Michelle and Flic I am so annoyed!

I even park by really nice cars as I think the owners will take good care of them but obviously not, I shall just park well away from everyone now :-(

I rang the man from dent devils, he is on his way now (only phone him 1/2 hour ago) he is in the area and so has given me a quote of £50 dependent on what he sees when he arrives! (does he mean me or the car?!) lol.

So I will let you know if he is successful later.

Have tried to take photos but as its right by the wheel arch the light reflects on it and you can't see the dent!

The dent has gone :-)

Cost me £50. Man works for dent devils but also does private work so I have a receipt from him instead. Happy with that as he did the same job just dent devils would have taken a percentage!

Very pleased with his work.

Good job pb. At least your wallet/purse wasn't "dented" by the sound of it!

I'm just pleased it's come out, and so quick too!

Did he use dry ice?

  • Author

Sadly no :'( I'm sure that method is 100% effective though :D lol.

I must have the only supermarket where dry ice isn't readily available. For shame... :(
