Hi i have a mondeo 2004 2.0tdci i was hoping if anyone can help me please.If im doing 70 and i put the cruise control on it will start to judder randomly.not bad but i can feel it

Check wheels, tyres. Most cars will begin to judder at that speed if wheels are slightly unbalanced also if you have a slight wrap in the wheel, if the tyres show uneven wear it could be wheel allignment

if its only when the cruise is on, it could be fuel management.

Iv had a play and its the egr valve but what can i use to blank it off

3mm steel solid blanking plate - under £5 off ebay.

Just out of interest how did you find out it was the erg valve

Ahh iv ordered one but a mate suggested a coke can so i cut one up to shape and put it on seems to have done the job will it cause trouble

I took it off a clean it then it made a bit of a differance in Power. So iv put a coke can blanking plate on it now it seems all ok i took it down the m6 and no judering

That coke can blank will melt - get it out a.s.a.p.

Yeh il take it out thank you for rhe heads up but iv had it remaped. And iv been told i just need to service it a bit more often is there anythin i need to look out for iv done 1000 mile on this map and its ok

And when it comes to mpg i dont know i did this fix at 2 this morning and i appreciate the help

Aluminium melting points are much lower it will just blow through and the residue of the coke will cause much more of a nightmare. Ad for mpg, it can boost anywhere up to 10 best case, worst case 4 or 5.
